What Is Aerobic Kickboxing?
Aerobic Kickboxing is the latest craze in the fitness industry. Involving Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, Dance Step, Hi/Lo Aerobics, Step Aerobics, Dance Step, Tone and Shape, and all other forms of exercise mixed into one, ultimate, whirlwind-done-before-you-know-it complete body workout. It is non-contact, and fun!! Sometimes, equipment such as punch pads, jump ropes, heavy bags, and target bags are used, which adds to the already intense workout.
The great thing about this workout is that you go at your own pace!! Everyone sets their own intensity, and goes at their own pace. If the beat is too fast, go slower, or vice versa. Don't sacrifice technique for speed. You end up not working the correct muscles, and/or injuring youself. Another great thing about this workout is it's fun!!! Before you know it, you look up at the clock, and class is over. You're dripping with sweat, and you muscles are burning, but it seems like you just started. After every workout, you have so much energy!! My students always tell me they get so pumped and have so much energy after the late evening classes, they can't get to sleep!!
